Profanações lexicais em O evangelho segundo Jesus Cristo, de José Saramago

Saramago's work was masterful in evoking and/or provoking the past and its crystallized discourses, with The Gospel According to Jesus Christ (1991) being a notable example. In this article, I propose revisit Saramago’s novel order argue that question mobilizes profanation of biblical figures at lexical level. More specifically, light Agambenian concept (2007), narrator characters, through their choices, set motion process restoring certain words use until then denied them not only by weaving canonical gospels as well historically constructed readings these same texts, which, ultimately, contributes figures.
